You may say that Foxit PDF Editor is not the most professional and powerful edition tool for PDF documents (Portable Format Document) at its price and you probably would be right. But if there's one thing you have to recognize is that it keeps it simple. Most people like me, and maybe like you, are not professional editors who need the most powerful tools to perform their tasks. They just need to create decents PDF documents as simple and as fast as possible and if that's is what you're looking for, the Foxit PDF Editor could be it.
A really neat and comfortable interface consisting in a single window with a menu section and a toolbar will provide you with all you need to do the basic and most frecuent edition tasks.
You will be able to see the page properties on a pop-up window wich opens when you open an existing PDF file. The classic menues are show as follow:
File menu: to do everything regarding to files such as open, create a new one, save it, print, etc.
Edit menu: showing the typical cut, copy and paste functions, undo and redo, selection options, etc.
Object menu: to add Text, Graphics and Images and its corresponding edition options.
Document menu: mainly to navigate the document but also containing the insertion, deletion, import and export options for pages.
View menu: to arrange the work area as you like.
Filter menu: listing a pretty large filter types as Dodge, Vivify, Softness, Sharpness among a lot others.
Window menu: to organize windows with tile and cascade options.
Help menu: to launch the Foxit Software Home Page
This is a tool intended to be combined with the Foxit PDF Creator, wich adds a virtual printer to your system as a method to create PDF documents from other applications. You will be expending above a hundred bucks to have them both but maybe it's all you need when it's about PDF work.
English is the only language supported so if you're not a native english speaking person you may want to look for other options. Anyway, as I said before, it's a really easy-to-use tool so you don't need to be an expert on english to use it properly and take advantage of it. |
